TECHNICAL FEATURES
GENERAL FEATURES

The “EVO” Machining Centre is a milling machine 5-axis on the tool and commanded by a NC, consisting of a structure with Cartesian axes and a mobile crossbeam:

 

  • The base, a single block whose structure consists of a built-in worktop, supports, at the back and front, two beams with guides on which the sliding crossbeam has been placed: the “X” transversal axis.
  • On the crossbeam slide the carriage of the “Y” longitudinal axis, on which moves the vertical arm for the “Z” axis.
  • The Z axis arm end is the fastening element of the operating unit.
MACHINE STRUCTURE

 

  • Motion is transmitted by Brushless servomotors coupled to precision gear reducers with pinions fastened onto them and running on hardened and ground precision racks with helical teeth.
  • The components slide on precision prismatic guides with recirculating ball runners.
  • The brushless motors integrate the position data transmission system. The Z-axis motor is fitted with a brake.
  • Brushless motors and digital controls on each axis allow for high performance in terms of movements.

Dust protections:

The runners have a double external protection consisting of special scrapers.
All the guides and transmissions of the linear axes are covered with bellows.



Perimeter protections:
The perimeter closure ensures maximum operator safety during the machine’s operating cycle. It consists of panels forming an integral part of the structure on the back and sides. At the front, there are 2 sliding doors with automatic opening and large inspection windows.

"BASIC" OPERATING UNIT

Nr. 01 Bi-rotary head

Motion is transmitted by a servo-assisted brushless motor allowing for programmable positioning in any point of the rotation.

The special shape of the head that brings the spindle axis to 233 mm from the centre of the vertical axis allows for machining on the worktop, dimensions exceeding the stroke of axis X, Y by over 400 mm.

  • Built-in tool change device for HSK 50F cone.
WORKTOP BUILT IN OR CONNECTED TO THE BASE

Nr. 01 Table:
The workpiece-holder table is an integral part of the machine base, featuring an electro-welded reticular structure. The joists have blocks with a machined worktop parallel to the strokes of axes X and Y. Complete with M10 threaded holes for positioning and fixing templates, any worktops or blocks of unprocessed material to be machined.

  • The pitch of the holes is 625 mm in X and 550 mm in Y.
  • The height of the worktop from the floor is about 580 mm.


The distinctive execution of the internal area directs chippings in special collection tanks placed under the worktop. Indeed, between each joist and the next there is a walk-on grating.

Monolithic cast iron table with 22mm T-slots

 

Nr. 01 Removable Suction Table:

Aluminium table, about 28mm thick, suitably machined surface with channels, 30 mm pitch, to distribute the vacuum

 

The suction table with T-slots:

The surface of the aluminium worktop includes steel inserts placed with a centre distance of 300 mm, with T-slots (type 16) parallel to the "Y" axis to make mechanical locking and references easier.

 

Nr. 01 Vacuum system

Vacuum circuit for the separate control of two work areas, which can be activated manually or automatically by the program. Each line of the vacuum circuit is fitted with a filter to prevent the pumps from clogging.

 

Nr. 01 Turntable:

The station change rotation is electrically driven by a geared motor.
Complete with two workpiece-holder worktops joined together, separated by a central partition. This design allows the operator to carry out, under entirely safe conditions, the unloading and loading stage in masked time.
